On Apr. 12, a delegation headed by Will Tregidga, head ofInternational department of Nelson Malborough Institute of Technology (NMIT)paid a visit to TJAU. Xie Xiaodong, head of International Office, Bai Dongqing,deputy dean of Fishery College, Wang Qingkui, director of Aquaculture ScienceDepartment had a cordial meeting with Will Tregidga.
During the meeting, on the basis of full affirmation of theremarkable cooperative results that have achieved, the two sides made discussionon how to promote the cooperation program between two universities. Both agreedthat there are great potentials for this program, in particular the policy ofhalving the tuition fees and obtaining bachelor's degrees of the two universities,which is quilt beneficial to students who have a study intention abroad. TJAU willstrengthen the cooperation with NMIT on issues such as student English training,study abroad and living arrangements, in order to better promote the program.
Will Tregidga also gave lectures on the program for studentsfrom the Fisheries College. Will Tregidga introduced in details the developmenthistory, academic advantages, and faculty strength of NMIT as well as theinformation of the cooperation program, and sincerely invited students to applythe program actively.
