On Apr. 22, Sri Lankan international students of our school held a traditional New Year celebration in the playground.  

In order to express the joy of the festival, Sri Lankan international students wore colorful traditional costumes, produced exquisite specialties,prepared traditional New Year celebrations, cheerful ethnic songs and dancesand colorful games, which presented a beautiful, delicious, and amusing SriLankan New Year feast to all attending the event.  

Accompanied by the national anthem of the People's Republicof China and Sri Lanka, the New Year celebrations officially kicked off. Activities such as the introduction of Sri Lankan New Year traditional customs and boiling milk showed off the exotic customs. The dynamic dance attracted applause andcheers. The exquisite food and tasty snacks were unanimously praised by teachers and students present, who were also fully interested and actively involved in the rich and colorful national games. This celebration enabled Sri Lankan international students to spend an unforgettable New Year, and, furthermore, added color to their lives in China.
