From February 23 to February 27, vice president Zhao Hui led a delegation to visit Rajamangala University of Technology Thanyaburi (RMUTT), Thailand.
During the visit, Zhao Hui met with Prasert Pinpathomrat, President of RMUTT, and relevantteachers of the Agricultural College. The two sides fully affirmed the previous work results and discussed the charter, cooperation major, curriculum and teachers of Shennong Institute, and initially determined that Shennong Institute started the recruitment of three majors in animal science, aquaculture, food science and engineering in December 2019, and signed the agreement between the two universities to establish Shennong Institute. In addition, Zhao Hui gave a detailed introduction to the work ideas and progress of the construction of Shennong Institute to the University Committee of the RMUTT, and conducted a site inspection of the construction planning and progress of Shennong Institute in the new campus.
In addition, Zhao Hui paid a visit to the Education Department of the Chinese Embassy in Thailand, and reported in detail the progress of Shennong Institute. The leaders of the Education Department of the Chinese Embassy in Thailand gave a high degree of recognition to the construction of Shennong Institute. He said that under the background of the Belt and Road Initiative, the establishment of Shennong Instituteis not only conducive to the development of teaching and research in the two universities, but also to help the cooperation between China and Thailand and even Southeast Asia. It is suggested that the two sides should strengthen exchanges and communication in order to effectively implement Shennong Institute.
