On April 9, Boontarika Thongdonphum, vice dean of the Faculty of Agriculture Technology, Rajamangala University of Technology Thanyaburi (RMUTT), Thailand, visited our university. Vice President Zhao Hui cordially met with the delegation.


During the meeting, Zhao Hui extended a warm welcome to Boontarika Thongdonphum and the delegation, and put forward requirements for the work of Shennong Institute, a Sino-foreign cooperative education institution established by the two universities. According to the proposal of RMUTT, the first batch of Shennong Institute was established to recruit three majors: aquaculture, animal science, food science and engineering. RMUTT and the relevant colleges of TJAU conducted a detailed discussion on the professional courses. The delegation's visit laid a solid foundation for the establishment of Shennong Institute.
In addition, the first batch of 13 short-term international students of RMUTT arrived our university on April 9 for a two-month study, which symbolized the official start of the cooperation between the two universities. Wang Yanwen, president of TJAU, met with 13 international students and teachers representatives. At the same time, he asked the relevant colleges and functional departments to actively promote the construction of Shennong Institute and the cooperation with RMUTT.


Representatives from International Office, Educational Administration Office,Fisheries College,College of Animal Science and Veterinary Medicine,College of Food Science and Bioengineering, College of Agriculture and Resources and Environment, College of Horticulture and Landscape Architecture, and College of Computer Science and Technology attended the meeting.
