OnJune 6, Professor Masanorifrom Kagawa University, Japan visited our university. Vice President Min Zhang met with the guests cordially.

During the meeting, MinZhang awarded the appointment certificate of “Tianjin Agricultural University Visiting Professor” for Professor Masanori. MinZhang pointed out that Tianjin Agricultural University is the only agricultural university in Tianjin with unique geographical location and development advantages. The two university have cooperated for many years in crop science research. This visit not only deepens the research cooperation with agronomy, but also laid a solid foundation for deeper cooperation.

Later, Professor Masanori gave a wonderful report on the effects drip irrigation on biological yield, quality and environmentof rice. The report analyzes the water saving effect of drip irrigation, the reduction of greenhouse gas emissions, and the reduction of arsenic content in brown rice through a large amount of data and pictures. In addition, the basic situation of Kagawa University in Japan was explained. The participants gave questions on the contents of the report from various aspects, and had a deeper understanding of drip cultivation.

In addition, Masanori visited the laboratories of our university, andrice production, learning, research and demonstration bases in Xiqing, Ninghe and Baoji districts, and analyzed and evaluated the specific planting situation of rice, further clarified the direction and content of future cooperative research and put forward some specific opinions and Suggestions.
