On December 16th, the opening ceremony for 2021 international students of Shennong College was held simultaneously atthe two venues of our school and Thayaburi Royal Institute of Technology. ZhangHuaquan, Director of the International Cooperation and Exchange Office of Tianjin Municipal Education Commission, Jin Weiwei, Member of the Standing Committee of the Party Committee and Vice President of Tianjin Agricultural University, Zhang Min, Member of the Standing Committee of the Party Committee and Vice President of Tianjin Agricultural University, International Affairs, Ministryof Higher Education, Scientific Research and Innovation, Thailand Director Raisalmon Samansin, President of Thayaburi Royal Institute of Technology SongMai Parksal, Vice Presidents Yoshikawa Bumkitipi, and Monman Niamlang attended the opening ceremony.
Songmai Parksall first expressed hissincere gratitude to the Chinese government and Tianjin Agricultural Collegefor their support and assistance to the construction of Shennong College. He said that Shennong College's successful completion of the first batch of enrollment work is not only another milestone in the exchange and cooperation between thetwo universities, but also marks the beginning of a closer cooperative relationship between China and Thailand. Jin Weiwei pointed out that Shennong College, an overseas school sponsored by our school at the Royal Institute ofTechnology in Tayaburi, was inaugurated and established in Thailand in December2019. Through the joint efforts of both parties, many difficulties includingthe new crown pneumonia epidemic have been overcome, and the enrollment of two majors of animal science and food science and engineering has been successfully completed. He extended a warm welcome to the first batch of students of Shennong College, and hoped that international students can fully enjoy thehigh-quality educational resources and advanced educational concepts of Sino-Thailand,open a new learning mode, formulate a good university and life plan, and striveto become modern agricultural professionals in order to promote " The Belt and Road ”Initiative has made due contributions.
Raisalmon Samansin highly praised the important role played by Shennong College in promoting agricultural reform and innovation. She said that Shennong College can not only improve the agricultural education competitiveness of Royal Thai Institute of Technology inThailand and neighboring countries, but also promote the development of modern agricultural education systems and scientific research systems between China and Thailand, and accelerate the construction of environmentally friendly modern agricultural products. Zhang Huaquan pointed out that the successful completion of the first batch of enrollment work of Shennong College fully demonstrated the pioneering, innovative, and strenuous entrepreneurial spirit of both China and Thailand and the international cooperation concept of hand in hand and common development.
