On August 20, at the "the Belt and Road" Cooperation and Luban Workshop Construction and Development Forum of the First World Conference on Vocational and Technical Education Development, Liu Limin, President of China Education International Exchange Association, awarded 25 projects including Tianjin Agricultural University and "Luban Workshop in Bulgaria" of Tianjin Economic and Trade School, and the first batch of Luban Workshop operation projects in China were officially announced.
Li Shuqi, Deputy Mayor of Tianjin, Fang Jun, First Level Inspector and Deputy Director of the Department of International Cooperation and Exchange of the Ministry of Education, Wang Yongli, Secretary General of the China Association for International Exchange of Education, Yu Yougen, Deputy Secretary General, Liu Bin, Chairman of the Luban Workshop Construction Alliance, Ethiopian Ambassador to China, Madagascar Ambassador to China, as well as Mali, Thailand, Venezuela, Algeria, Japan, South Africa, Zimbabwe, Uzbekistan, Fiji The envoys of Uganda and Mongolia to China attended the forum and jointly witnessed the awarding ceremony of the first batch of Luban Workshop operation projects. The forum was hosted by Wang Hailong, Deputy Secretary of the Party Committee of Tianjin Vocational University. Our school demonstrated the achievements of cooperation and co construction at the first World Conference on the Development of Vocational and Technical Education "the Belt and Road" Cooperation and Luban Workshop Construction and Development Forum.
Luban Workshop, initiated by Tianjin, is an innovative initiative for vocational education to run schools overseas, serves Chinese enterprises to "go global", provides high-quality technical and skilled human resources support for international production capacity cooperation and economic and social development of countries, and becomes an important carrier to promote cultural exchanges and people to people exchanges along the "the Belt and Road".
The "Bulgarian Luban Workshop" was jointly built by our school, Tianjin Economic and Trade School, and Provdiv Agricultural University. It is the first Luban Workshop to serve the construction of China Central and Eastern European countries' agricultural cooperation demonstration zones and be included in the list of achievements of the China Central and Eastern European Leaders' Summit. The workshop adopts the "Engineering Practice Innovation Project (EPIP)" as the teaching model, exploring cross-border links between secondary vocational, undergraduate, and graduate education, and achieving the integration of Chinese vocational education and international academic education.
