In order to allow international students to personally experience the long-standing
traditional Chinese culture, enhance their sense of belonging and integration in China, and serve as ambassadors of friendship and cultural disseminators between China and foreign countries, on December 29th, the General Affairs Office, International Office, School of Animal Science and Animal Medicine, School of Food Science and Biotechnology, and School of Computer and Information Engineering jointly organized the "Baofu Baolove Warm New Year's Day" dumpling making competition to welcome the New Year. The competition comes from Thailand More than 50 international students from countries such as Sri Lanka and Cameroon participated in this event.
At the beginning of the activity, the teacher introduced the origin, meaning, and important position of dumplings in traditional Chinese culture to the international students. Subsequently, the teachers who participated in the activity sat together with the international students, patiently explaining and demonstrating each step of making dumplings to the students, and teaching them hand in hand how to make dumplings both full and beautiful. Under the guidance of the teachers, international students were all excited to participate, learning with great enthusiasm. As everyone's enthusiasm surged, the dumpling making competition officially began.

Soon, the table was filled with dumplings of various shapes, such as "flowers,"
"ingots," and "fans.". Amidst everyone's laughter and cheers, the School of Animal
Science and Animal Medicine won first prize with the fastest completion speed; The
School of Food Science and Biotechnology and the School of Computer and Information
Engineering respectively won the second and third prizes. After the dumplings were
cooked, the aroma filled the entire restaurant, and the students savored the fruits of
their labor, enjoying the scene with great joy.

The cold wind outside the window is howling, and the blessings and love inside are endless. The steaming dumplings dispel the winter chill and allow everyone to experience the rich and unique Chinese New Year flavor. This event not only brought joy and friendship to international students, but also showcased the charm of Chinese culinary culture. While experiencing traditional Chinese culture, it also served as an ambassador for "knowing China, being friendly with China, and loving China", effectively promoting the dissemination of traditional Chinese culture.
