On April 10th, the Tianjin Key Laboratory of Intelligent Breeding of Major Crops, the Key Laboratory of Intelligent Breeding of the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Affairs,
and the Rural Revitalization Research Institute jointly organized the Tiannong "Famous- Lecture Hall" Smart Agriculture Academic Forum in the library lecture hall. Six experts and scholars from the field of smart agriculture at home and abroad gave wonderful present-ations. Zhang Min, member of the Standing Committee of the Party Committee and Vice
President of our school, attended the forum and delivered a welcome speech.
Zhang Min welcomed the arrival of domestic and foreign experts, introducing the
relevant policies of national smart agriculture, the research work carried out by our school, the basic situation of our school, and the international cooperation in running
schools.
Professor Zhang Guoqiang from Aarhus University in Denmark gave a report titled
"Machine learning, artificial intelligence, and smart environment control of
livestock farming". He used four cases to introduce the application of machine
learning and artificial intelligence in livestock farms, pointed out technical
limitations, analyzed the importance of deep scientific mechanisms in livestock
arming problems, emphasized the importance of data range and quality in machine
learning on model accuracy, and utilized CFD modeling to provide data for machine
learning.
Professor Chayan Kumer Saha from Bangladesh Agricultural University gave a report
titled "Transformation of Agricultural Mechanization in Bangladesh linked to Climate
Smart Agriculture and Agriculture 4.0", introducing the basic situation of agriculture in Bangladesh, the application of agricultural machinery and the Internet of Things in
agriculture, as well as the development plan and prospects of smart agriculture.
Associate Professor Li Hao from China Agricultural University, Associate Researcher
Wang Xiaoshuai from Zhejiang University, Associate Professor Shen Xiong from Tianjin
University, and Professor Liu Tonghai from our university have respectively presented reports titled "Ventilation Design of Livestock and Poultry Houses Based on Theory and
Numerical Simulation", "Research on Air Pipe Distribution System to Relieve Heat
Stress in Cows - From Numerical Simulation to Field Experiments", "Progress of
Indoor Air Environment Creation Technology and Prospects in Agriculture", and
"Research and Practice of Key Technologies in Smart Breeding and Planting".
The forum was co chaired by Zhou Wenli, Director of the Science and Technology
Department, and Liu Tonghai, Vice President of the Rural Revitalization Research
Institute. More than 150 experts from the Municipal Academy of Agricultural Sciences, leaders, teachers, and graduate students from the Rural Revitalization Research Institute, International Exchange Office, Cybersecurity and Information Office, School of Agriculture and Resources and Environment, School of Aquaculture, School of Engineering Technology,
School of Animal Science and Animal Medicine, School of Computer and Information
Engineering, School of Water Conservancy Engineering, and School of Basic Science of
