In order to further deepen the friendly cooperation between our university and Maldives in the field of education and research, promote academic exchanges and talent cultivation between the two sides, a delegation of three from our university visited and exchanged ideas at the National University of Maldives from August 20th to 24th.
After introducing the basic situation and disciplinary advantages of our university, we hope to leverage our unique disciplinary advantages in fisheries, agriculture, engineering, and other fields to deepen cooperation with the National University of Maldives in areas such as fishery resource development and utilization, soilless vegetable cultivation, and intelligent equipment. Together, we will build a blue partnership between China and Maldives, and carry out practical cooperation and exchanges in marine technology and talent cultivation.
Dr. Sheikh Naz, Vice President of the National University of Maldives, warmly welcomes the visit of our delegation and hopes to use this visit as an opportunity to strengthen student exchange, faculty academic exchange, research institution construction, etc. between the two universities, sign a cooperation agreement between the two universities in the future, establish the China Malaysia Modern Agriculture Research Center, and play a positive role in promoting understanding and friendship between China and Malaysia.
During the visit, the delegation conducted on-site inspections of the Fisheries and Marine Research Center, had in-depth exchanges on the work of marine aquaculture, provided corresponding technical guidance, and discussed cooperation in employee training and professional technical personnel training.
Our school actively responded to the national "the Belt and Road" initiative and carried out some high-level substantive international scientific and technological cooperation. This visit is a specific measure to implement and promote the practical cooperation between our school and Maldives universities in fishery and agriculture.
