On November 21st, on the occasion of the highly anticipated World Conference on the Development of Vocational and Technical Education, Zhang Min, member of the Standing Committee of the Party Committee and Vice President of our university, had a cordial and friendly meeting with Otabek Makarov, Deputy Minister of Higher Education, Science and Innovation of Uzbekistan, during the conference.
Zhang Min stated that Tianjin Agricultural University attaches great importance to exchanges and cooperation with Uzbekistan, actively promoting cooperation in higher education between China and Uzbekistan. In the past year, the university has cooperated with multiple universities in Uzbekistan and achieved significant cooperation results. He emphasized that these collaborations not only promote academic exchanges and resource sharing, but also build important bridges between the two countries in fields such as agricultural education, scientific research innovation, and talent cultivation, with profound significance.
Otabek Makamov highly agrees with this. He mentioned that through this meeting, the Ministry of Higher Education, Science and Innovation of Uzbekistan has gained a deep understanding of the achievements of Tianjin Agricultural University in agricultural scientific research, innovative technology and international cooperation and exchange. He looks forward to substantive cooperation in the transformation, application and promotion of agricultural technology, as well as the joint training of agricultural talents in the future.
Subsequently, Zhang Min met and exchanged ideas with Zafar Hakimov, the president of the Yangiyer branch of Tashkent Institute of Chemical Technology in Uzbekistan. After mutual understanding and multiple in-depth discussions, the two schools had a friendly and productive meeting, and officially signed an intercollegiate friendly cooperation agreement. This agreement marks the two schools' deep cooperation in key areas such as teacher-student visits and exchanges, joint research projects, agricultural product processing technology, and the development and utilization of fishery resources. Tianjin Agricultural University is willing to work hand in hand with our Ukrainian partners to deepen cooperation, broaden cooperation areas, and jointly explore more mutually beneficial cooperation models, contributing to the organic connection between the education chain, talent chain, industry chain, and innovation chain of the two countries.
