On December 2-3, 2024, a delegation of five teachers from Tashkent Institute of Chemical Technology in Uzbekistan visited our university for exchange and visit. This visit is taking place against the backdrop of the signing of a friendly cooperation agreement between the two universities during the 2024 World Conference on the Development of Vocational and Technical Education. The aim is to deepen academic exchanges and cooperation between the two sides, and jointly promote the development of education, teaching, and research cooperation.
The delegation first visited our school's history museum and gained a deep understanding of our school's historical evolution, educational philosophy, outstanding alumni, and glorious achievements. They highly praised our school's development achievements and educational characteristics.
Subsequently, in-depth visits were made to the teaching and research exhibition hall and functional laboratory of the School of Food Science and Bioengineering. Each research team provided a detailed introduction to the cutting-edge research progress in the field of food science and bioengineering, providing valuable opportunities and beneficial ideas for promoting in-depth cooperation between the two sides in teaching, research, and social services.
In order to further strengthen academic exchanges and cooperation between the two schools, the School of Food Science and Bioengineering and the School of Fisheries held academic exchange seminars respectively. We had lively discussions with foreign guests on the latest research achievements, cutting-edge technologies, and application prospects in the fields of food science and aquaculture, and jointly explored new directions for future cooperation.
The next day, the delegation made an in-depth investigation and exchange on the Fried Dough Twists Cultural Center on the 18th Street of Gui Faxiang, the off campus teaching practice base of the School of Food Science and Biological Engineering. They highly appreciated the production process, quality control system, and market operation strategy of Guifa Xiang's products. This visit also discussed effective models for deep integration of industry and academia, promoting innovative development and talent cultivation in the food industry.
This visit not only deepened academic exchanges and cooperation between the two universities, but also laid a solid foundation for the further development of friendly relations between the two sides. In the future, our school will continue to maintain close cooperation with Tashkent Institute of Chemical Technology in Uzbekistan, jointly promoting scientific research cooperation and teacher-student exchanges in fields such as food science and aquaculture.
