This year's Shanghai Cooperation Organization Summit is about to be held in Tianjin. As the only agricultural university in Tianjin, our university actively leverages its educational characteristics to serve modern urban agriculture and accelerates exchanges and cooperation with universities in SCO member countries.

On March 25th, our university held a working conference with Omsk State Agrarian University in Russia via video conference to jointly explore the prospects of cooperation in education, scientific research, and international cooperation, taking an important step towards cooperation.

Svetlana Komarova, Vice President of Teaching at Omsk State Agrarian University, Yuri Novikov, Vice President of Research, and relevant officials from the International Exchange Department of our university attended the meeting. Representatives from both sides provided detailed introductions on the development history, advantageous majors, and scientific research achievements of their respective schools. As a well-known agricultural university in Russia, Omsk State Agrarian University has significant advantages in fields such as agricultural engineering, animal science, and agricultural economic management, and has trained a large number of outstanding agricultural professionals.

In the in-depth communication, both sides discussed the ways of cooperation in advantageous disciplines, including student exchange, academic exchange visits, and jointly organizing international conferences. In addition, both sides will focus on exploring the possibility of establishing international joint laboratories and jointly carrying out scientific research projects, which will help solve common challenges faced in the agricultural field and strengthen international cooperation in agriculture between China and Russia.

The friendship between nations lies in people's matchmaking, and people's matchmaking lies in heart to heart communication. In recent years, our university has actively explored exchanges and cooperation with universities in member countries of the Shanghai Cooperation Organization, established partnerships with universities in Russia, Uzbekistan, Kyrgyzstan, and other countries, and promoted the establishment of joint laboratories, teacher-student exchange programs, and other cooperation projects. In the future, our university will continue to work hand in hand with sister universities to carry out extensive and in-depth cooperation in multiple fields such as education, scientific research, and international cooperation, contributing to the internationalization of the agricultural sector.
